Which survey do I need?

RICS offers three levels of home survey. The right one depends on the property's age, type and condition. Here's the short version, and we're always happy to advise.

Level 1 — Condition

A basic visual check for newer, conventional homes in good condition. Flags significant risks, no advice on repairs.

Level 2 — HomeBuyer

A mid-level survey for conventional properties in reasonable condition. Includes a condition rating and advice.

Level 3 — Building Survey

The most thorough level, suited to older, altered, listed or unusual properties. Detailed findings, causes and repair advice. Our speciality.
